The deal builds on a decade-long relationship between the two companies

Lexmark has announced a new collaboration with Computacenter in Europe, which will allow enterprise customers to access its secure managed print services (MPS) solutions via the technology partner.

Headquartered in the UK, Computacenter is an independent provider of IT infrastructure and digital workplace services, designed to support organisations’ digital transformation. The new partnership builds on the firm’s long-standing relationship with Lexmark, having already worked together for more than a decade.

Lexmark says the move will enable the pair to provide additional value-added services to more customers and offer a “better experience” for enterprises.

“The partnership will enable us to provide reliable, automated and integrated print support that ensures security to Computacenter’s customers, supporting the delivery of cloud-first digital transformation strategies,” explained Brock Saladin, senior vice president and chief commercial officer at Lexmark.

“We look forward to working with Computacenter to meet the unique needs and expectations of our collective customers.”

With Lexmark’s managed print services, customers’ information is protected in the secure cloud, ensuring greater visibility and control of data and, ultimately, reducing the burden on IT teams. By offering the firm’s ‘secure by design’ approach, the partnership also promises that customer devices and data will be protected “every step of the way”.

Kevin James, chief commercial officer at Computacenter, said Lexmark is an essential partner and provider of products and services to the IT infrastructure and services firm.

“Reliable technology is of critical importance to our customers, helping to reduce risk by maintaining security and maximum uptime,” he commented.

“We already value Lexmark’s collaboration, flexibility, responsiveness, large range of commercial offerings, and centralised sales and operations structures, and are looking forward to working with them further.”
