Graphcore launches new partner program to capitalise on high demand
Company seeks to maintain momentum as orders increase for its next generation IPUs
Graphcore has unveiled its first global channel partner program, which has been designed to help the silicon firm better serve customers around the world and support them in pushing the boundaries of machine intelligence.
The new Elite Partner Program consists of a network of distributors and resellers that will work to fulfil demand for Graphcore's AI compute platform, the IPU-M2000, and IPU-POD for scale-out and supercomputing deployments.
Announcing the initiative, the firm said the go-to-market program's scale and reach reflect the momentum that its Intelligence Processing Unit (IPU) has built up so far, as well as the high demand around the world for its recently-announced second-gen IPU systems.
"The Graphcore Elite Partner Program allows us to serve commercial, academic and governmental customers around the world, through some of the most trusted names in the information technology supply chain," commented Nigel Toon, Graphcore CEO.
At launch, the list of partners includes: 2CRSi, Atos, Boston Limited, BSI, Dell Technologies, Digital China, Inspur, Lambda, Macnica/Cytech, Meadowgate Technologies, Megazone, OCF, Penguin Computing, Tech Data Europe, Tech Data US, and Wildflower International.
Through the new program, these members will be able to offer customers Graphcore's next-generation platform as demand for AI compute continues to grow across both the private and public sectors, the firm said.
Graphcore's AI offerings include the second-gen IPU-Machine M2000, which sports a flexible, modular design and built-in networking for super-computer scale. Built with the Colossus MK2 IPU, it boasts 1 PetaFlop of AI compute and up to 450GB Exchange-Memory in a slim 1U blade.
"Our new IPU-M2000 system offers unparalleled compute performance, with a cost of ownership that is far more attractive than the legacy technologies that have dominated machine intelligence until now. That's creating a wave of excitement and commercial opportunities that span the globe," Toon added.
