Atos has announced a new global partnership with Circular Computing which will see the firm expand its Net Zero Transformation portfolio and offer clients certified carbon-neutral laptops.

A member of Atos’ Scaler accelerator program, Circular Computing is a premium remanufacturer of carbon-neutral laptop products, recognised as the world’s first BSI Kitemark certified laptop remanufacturer.

The firm produces at-scale, pre-used HP, Dell and Lenovo machines that promise to be equal or better than new, with the BSI Kitemark certifying that the remanufacturing process delivers the performance and warranty customers expect.

“Circular Computing’s manufacturing facilities, alongside shared values and innovative culture made them the perfect partner for our broader sustainability scope of work as part of our net zero ambition and net zero client portfolio,” commented Jason Warren, VP of Atos' Net Zero Portfolio.

With its ISO9001 accredited process, Circular Computing says it can guarantee consistent quality of the same model in large volumes, while every laptop is also refinished to exacting quality standards using the firm’s extensive 360 stage, 5+ hour Circular Remanufacturing Process.

Earlier this year, Atos selected Circular Computing for its Scaler open invitation accelerator program for start-ups and SMEs, which focuses on developing new solutions that make decarbonisation a competitive advantage.

Atos said it saw Circular Computing as a “clear fit” in its mission to support clients with solutions and services that help reduce their carbon footprint.

“The company stood out as the perfect choice for our Scaler program and is a fantastic companion to our commitment to decarbonised digital,” Warren added. “This partnership will deliver tangible savings not just for our business, but for the planet and our customers.”

Rod Neale, founder of Circular Computing, said the company offers customers the assurances and consistency they require from a remanufactured product.

"We set up Circular Computing to bring the same level of consistency in supply scale and condition as the brand-new channel,” he said. “In this way we can supply all our customers with the most sustainable laptop on the planet and deliver all their technology needs, all whilst not asking them to take any risk on the products cosmetic, technical or warranty performance.”
