Auth0 aims to double UK staffing amid record EMEA growth

Year-on-year boost of 165% attributed to partner expansion and new enterprise customers

Identity platform Auth0 says it intends to double the size of its UK team by the end of 2019 following rapid growth in European markets.

The company has announced 165% year-on-year growth in the EMEA market, which now accounts for almost 30% of Auth0's global revenue.

This has partially been fuelled by the firm signing up 55 new enterprise customers, bringing the total to 220, and a rapidly-growing partner network across Europe and the Middle East.

The company's growth across EMEA is in addition to a 2,000% increase in revenue among existing customers in the second quarter of 2019 compared with the same period last year.

"EMEA is hyper-aware of cybersecurity risks, and it's vitally important we enable people to interact simply and securely with apps and services," said Auth0's general manager of EMEA Steven Rees-Pullman.

"We know the individual markets well, and we have a good set of skills that have helped us reach out to those markets and develop them appropriately.

"Expansion growth is a good indication that customers are benefitting from our investments in professional services as well."

The identity as a service' company offers enterprise customers a universal identity platform for a host of devices and systems in order to authenticate staff in a secure way. The firm recently achieved unicorn' status', that is a valuation of $1 billion, following a $103 billion funding round in May.

The company's London hub, which opened in October 2018, has also been key to its growth in the wider region. Auth0 has 400 employees around the world, and plans to double its UK staffing levels by the end of the year.

Auth0 previously expanded its global partner network in July last year to add a host of names to its roster of partners in the US, Europe and South Africa.
