Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) has announced a new partnership with Exertis which will see the value-added distributor provide its enterprise networking portfolio, including its LAN and wireless LAN switches, to the UK market.

With experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Internet Service Provider (ISP) markets, the pair say the collaboration will help provide the tech to support advances in improved managed services.

ALE offers solutions across a number of key verticals, with this new distribution deal designed to place a particular focus on the rapid digitalisation of the health and education sectors.

“This partnership enables Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise to further its reach in the UKI market with a distributor that is widely known and highly respected,” commented Heather Zhang, UKI Country head at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.

“We pride ourselves on our customer centricity and know that Exertis can uphold our reputation and join us on our mission to assist the digital transformation of business across the globe.”

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise offers digital-age networking, communications and cloud solutions with services that are tailored to customer needs. The firm’s range of solutions also include built-in security and boast limited environmental impact.

As a high-profile value-added distributor, Exertis will bring technical as well as market expertise to the partnership. Beyond selling to over 50,000 retailers and resellers, Exertis also provides clients with on-site capability and consultancy support – which ALE says aligns with its focus on customer-centricity.

Tom Cox, commercial director for Exertis’ Enterprise Division, said network connectivity has never been more important for enterprises, with businesses digitalising at a “phenomenal rate”.

“Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s all-encompassing networking portfolio really is industry-leading, and it is an obvious choice for an Exertis partnership, allowing us to add even more value and differentiation to our existing target customer base,” he said.

“Having the ability to distribute such innovative connectivity solutions is exciting for us, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, and more importantly our customers.”
