Dell Technologies commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study and examine the potential return on investment (ROI) enterprises may realise by deploying PowerScale (formerly known as Isilon). The purpose of this study is to provide readers with a framework to evaluate the potential financial impact of a PowerScale investment on their organisations.

Forrester’s interviews with four Dell EMC PowerScale customers found cost savings and benefits in the following categories: storage workload optimisation savings, storage management efficiencies, data centre space savings, and revenue generating business value added. Interviewed customers noted that in addition to scalability and cost effectiveness over their previous systems, the performance and resiliency of their PowerScale clusters help their organisations support fast and unpredictable business growth. Customers reported the ability to run a wide variety of workloads on the same data set within a single platform.
