Dell brings APEX data storage services to UK
UK businesses can now select from three performance tiers for APEX based on one or three year terms

Dell Technologies has announced it has expanded availability of its APEX Data Services to include channel partners in the UK.
Designed to help customers expand their operations into new geographies and gain better control of storage costs, the scalable storage resources can be deployed on premises or in a secure Dell-managed Equinix International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre.
Essentially, the as-a-service portfolio enables customers to pay for the capacity they use and scale at the service level they need, the firm said.
The portfolio also includes APEX File Services, which now offers object-enabled capabilities with support for the S3 protocol, catering to cloud-native application development without the need to copy data.
“APEX creates opportunities for channel partners to offer customers flexible and simplified IT solutions,” Dell explained in a release. “With APEX Data Storage Services expanded availability, Dell Technologies Solution Providers and Storage Authorised Distributors in the UK are able to earn incentives when selling these solutions on a referral basis.
“Cloud Service Provider partners also can host enhanced APEX Data Storage Services on behalf of customers.”
UK businesses can now select from three performance tiers for APEX Block and File Services across terms of either one or three years. Base capacity options start from 50 terabytes, with customers able to procure data storage resources via the web-based APEX Console.
That means organisations can monitor capacity, performance, and usage costs in real time, as well as update their subscriptions as needed, Dell said.
“The infrastructure is owned and maintained by Dell, and services are provided with a single Dell invoice,” the tech giant continued.
“Customers have access to global scale, multi-cloud capabilities, leading technologies and IT expertise, and experience public cloud simplicity without sacrificing control over their data.
