Lenovo has announced its latest enterprise-grade 2-in-1, which will be powered by Intel's Broadwell chipset.
The ThinkPad Helix is set to ship with an 11.6in Full HD display (1920 x 1080) with a 400cd/m2 brightness.
Lenovo is touting the flexibility of the device as it can be used as a traditional Ultrabook, a standalone tablet or be switched to tent and stand modes. The firm claims this will make it suitable for everything from taking notes to sketching or typing.
Running Windows 8.1 Pro, the device will be one of the first to be powered by Intel's latest generation 14nm Broadwell processor (Core M) with vPro. The device is available with 4/8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of PCIe storage will be offered.
Wireless support comes in the form of Wi-Fi (802.11ac/agn) and Bluetooth 4. WWAN will be optional.
Physical connections will include micro HDMI, microSD, micro SIM and USB 3 ports.
Lenovo offers the choice between a standard keyboard (extra USB 2 port) or an Ultrabook Pro keyboard, which has an additional battery as well USB 3 and mini DisplayPort connections.
IT Pro is awaiting confirmation on the battery information, but the latest generation Core M processor is expected to provide a significant bump in longevity over its predecessor.
Optional extras will include a digitiser, fingerprint scanner as well as a range of docks and cases.
The Windows hybrid will be available to buy in October, with prices starting at $999.
