Galaxy S5 customers bag free Gear Fit from Vodafone
Customers buying a Samsung Galaxy S5 online in June will be offered a free Gear Fit device
Customers who buy a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone online with Vodafone before 26 June will receive a free Samsung Gear Fit with their purchase.
The latest flagship handset from Samsung has already proven popular with customers, having shipped 10 million units in just 25 days earlier in the year, making it the fastest selling Galaxy model yet.
Critical reception of both the handset and the Samsung Gear Fit has been mixed, however.
The Galaxy S5 was released with Health 3.0 software, which helps the user to keep track of their diet, exercise and general physical activity. There is also a built-in heart rate monitor situated on the back of the device. These features complement the release of Gear Fit, with Apple also announcing a greater focus on health coming with the iOS 8.
Wearable tech, such as Gear Fit-style fitness bands, have seen a huge rise in popularity over the last few months, offering users the ability to track things such as calories burnt, steps taken or quality of sleep.
The Samsung Gear Fit allows the wearer to monitor movement and more, featuring a touch screen with its various options displayed.
The offer of a free Samsung Gear Fit with every online purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S5 applies to any 3G or 4G price plan and lasts until 26 June or while stocks last.
