iOS 8.1.3 software update released
Apple continues to try and patch Wi-Fi issues on Macs with OS X 10.10.2 as well
Apple has pushed out updates for iOS and OS X devices to improve the stability and fix a range of issues.
iOS 8.1.3 fixes bugs with Spotlight and log-in issues with Messages and FaceTime. The software update also aims to remedy problems users may be experiencing with gesture controls on the iPad.
Another important feature of iOS 8.1.3 is the reduction in size. The update requires 247MB of free space so even users with 16GB devices should be able to install it without having to move/delete any data. iOS 8.1.3 is a minor update but it looks like this will extend to major software installations going forward.
Meanwhile, the OS X 10.10.2 patch attempts to fix an on-going Wi-Fi bug that has plagued Yosemite users since general release. The update also attempts to resolve slow loading web pages. Business-focused enhancements include:
To install the update on an iPhone or iPad go to Settings > General > Software update.
On OS X devices, you need to open up the App Store and then go to the Upgrades tab.
