McAfee has announced an expansion of its relationship with distributor Ingram Micro, a move that builds on the transformation of the cyber security firm’s channel programme.

The new agreement will provide access to McAfee solutions across Ingram Micro's global distribution network, including its regional Cloud Marketplace and Centers of Excellence.

That means channel partners will be able to strengthen global channel partnerships, McAfee says, as well as benefit from easier access to solutions through Ingram Micro. The expanded relationship also provides Ingram Micro’s large service organisations with security tools and solutions from McAfee.

"Our expanded relationship with Ingram Micro will help build on the transformation that McAfee has been driving and enabling our organisations to reach a larger set of customers around the world in need of security protection,” commented Kathleen Curry, senior vice president of global enterprise channels, OEM strategic alliances ay McAfee.

Having launched its SaaS portfolio on the US Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace back in late 2020, McAfee revealed it plans to extend its footprint on the distributor’s e-commerce platforms throughout this year.

Together, the pair said the broadening partnership aims to help channel partners embrace cloud transformation and the new dynamics of the modern channel landscape.

Ultimately, the companies will work together to address customer needs, drive new initiatives, as well as offer McAfee Device to Cloud Suites to help organisations accelerate cloud adoption.

“Ingram and McAfee’s combined expertise will give customers the ability to use device to cloud security as a business enabler and grant partners the ability to build a differentiated, services-rich security practice,” added Ed Baker, McAfee’s EMEA partner lead.

Additionally, Ingram Micro revealed it is expanding its services capabilities to provide migration services to move from legacy security technology to McAfee MVISION products.

"Together with McAfee we are providing out mutual channel partners with access to one of the world’s most trusted cybersecurity solution portfolios and award-winning channel programs,” said Scott Zahl, executive director, global partner enablement, Ingram Micro.

"Add to the mix our security expertise and best-in-class resources including our regional Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplaces, and there’s never been a better time to work with Ingram Micro and McAfee."
