IT Pro Live: Adapting security to the 'new normal'

Darktrace director Mariana Pereira explains how businesses can ensure they're well-defended

Many security strategies rely on pattern recognition - setting a benchmark for what normal operations look like, and then tracking any anomalies which could represent potential threats. But what do you do when ‘normal’ is suddenly very abnormal? Coronavirus has introduced huge disruptions to standard operating procedures, and security teams must quickly adapt to cope with them. In this Q&A, we talk to Darktrace director Mariana Pereira about the changing situation, and how business can make sure they’re not caught out.

She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, and speaks several languages including French, Italian, and Portuguese.
