Ingram Micro expands partnership with RPA specialist UiPath

The move means UiPath's entire portfolio is available to Ingram Micro partners

Ingram Micro has expanded its relationship with enterprise automation software and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) firm UiPath.

The bolstered alliance means UiPath’s entire RPA and software portfolio is now available to Ingram Micro channel partners around the world.

RPA is designed to help organisations increase efficiency, workflow determinism, operation accuracy and regulatory compliance by automating manual tasks. Additionally, software-powered robots work to establish end-to-end automation across the organisation while driving costs down.

Having begun offering artificial intelligence (AI) and RPA solutions through its Advanced Solutions portfolio a few years ago, Ingram Micro says the segment has become one of the organisation’s fastest-growing global practices.

“Robotic process automation is an important component within a company’s digital transformation game plan, and a great sales wedge for channel partners to introduce DX solutions and services into their existing end user customer base,” said Sabine Howest, vice president of global partner engagement and IoT at Ingram Micro.

“Using AI to automate repeatable, rules-driven processes is a practice companies of all sizes can benefit from and a growth opportunity we’re ready to drive with UiPath through our growing and global Advanced Solutions organisation.”

Ingram Micro began its relationship with UiPath in India in 2018 before expanding to China. The two firms have now expanded across North America and Latin America, as well as EMEA and the rest of the Asia Pacific region.

The distributor maintains a dedicated UiPath team of experts to help channel partners throughout the sales cycle, including opportunity identification, design thinking, advisory services, licensing and training.

With the additional support of Ingram Micro’s Centers of Excellence, partners selling UiPath can also benefit from shared practices, “follow the sun” support services and global resources, the firm said.

“Ingram Micro and UiPath are partner-first organisations equally committed to continually investing in our partners to drive greater service differentiation, exceptional growth, and improved profitability,” said Thomas Hansen, UiPath’s chief revenue officer.

“Enterprise automation is a category channel partners cannot ignore, and an investment enterprise organisations are making because of the immediate and measurable return on investment and improvement to the associate experience and the customer experience.”
