Zoho has unveiled a host of new features for its Bigin CRM for small businesses, following a debut year in which the software firm surpassed over 7,500 customers.

A pipeline-centric CRM solution, Bigin is designed to help small businesses manage and foster their customer relationships from a central hub.

Launched just a year ago, the platform has reported a 40% average increase in revenue every quarter, taking the customer base to over 7,500, and has also had an average of 32% in monthly new customer acquisitions since May 2020.

Now, Zoho has enhanced Bigin further, adding new customisation features, public APIs, new integrations, as well as enhanced capabilities on mobile devices.

“With the most affordable pricing in the industry, a promised setup time under 30 minutes, and an extremely low learning curve, our aim was to make it as easy as possible for companies to get started with a CRM,” explained Sridhar Iyengar, Head of Europe at Zoho.

“We are taking a major step ahead in our vision to offer the best possible CRM experience for our small business customers.”

Key updates to Bigin include a new customisable pipeline view, which has been designed to allow customers to rearrange their pipeline stages and rename default modules based on their unique needs.

There’s also a faster, actionable search function that previews search results instantly. The feature also allows users to take quick actions - such as field updates, sending an email and adding new notes.

Bigin now boasts added native integrations with MailChimp, Zoho Books and Zoho Invoice, while its built-in telephony now offers more contact centre features – such as call recording, call transfer, automatic queuing, and integration with over 85 telephony providers.

Additionally, the firm has placed a greater focus on mobility, introducing an industry-first mobile pipeline view, designed to make it easier for users to sell direct from their smartphone.

Zoho said there will also be further enhancements coming later in the year - including advanced workflow automation, support for multiple global currencies, and simple process automation tailored for small businesses.

“Mobility is a crucial aspect which is often an afterthought for most SaaS vendors,” Iyengar added.  “I am happy to say that we have adopted a mobile-first approach with Bigin. Thousands of customers have taken advantage of our unique, industry-first unified pipeline view.”
