Code contribution analytics platform Merico has announced the launch of a powerful analytics dashboard for developers.

Termed Merico Build, this free platform allows developers to articulate strengths and achievements directly from their code, empowering skill and career growth. Going beyond the surface-layer analysis of issues and commit counts, Build conducts deep scans of developers’ source code for actionable insights.

Developers can have Merico Build automatically check their code for quality and view performance ranked on six facets. In the event of bad code, Build’s dashboard offers visibility into commits responsible for the issue. Build also documents developers’ progress over time and enables them to see how their work compares to others' in the team.

According to Merico, “the metrics are objective and quantitative, taking social complications out of the picture.”

“Merico Build is free for any developer anywhere to analyze their repos to realize more value in their coding lives certifying their skills, expertise, and competencies to let their code speak for itself,” the Merico said.

“Merico Build was developed to empower developers with insights and badges that enable self-improvement, career progress, and job applications.”

In addition to automatically providing insights on code, Merico Build empowers developers to improve coding practices with data and translate contribution into shareable metrics. Build’s other exciting features include the ability to certify skills and expertise based on code contribution and Git history and support for benchmarking accomplishments and competencies with peers.

“Merico build provides a complete picture of the development process to individuals and global companies,” said Jinglei Ren, CEO of Merico. “These insights help teams around the world to better understand a developer’s performance, productivity, quality and strengths.”
