How to combat a fear of flying: Top 10 tips

Take lots of things to occupy yourself with

Flying, especially for busy professionals, can provide a fantastic opportunity to relax with a movie, television show, stack of magazines or pre-made playlist, or just to catch up on some work ahead of your trip. Which one of those distracts you the most depends on what kind of person you are but, with tablets and smartphones now allowing us to pretty much do anything (as long as it doesn't require Wi-Fi), it's up to you.

Above all, the important thing is to find what works best for you, and to use those methods whenever life requires you to face your fears. No matter how ingrained you think your phobia is, there are always ways in which you can tackle it.

Right now, business trips for which you have to board a plane may feel like the end of the world, but a few coping techniques as well as advice from those more in the know might help you to overcome your fears for good.
